Classes I and II Special Assembly on Diwali

The glory of festivity could be seen on everyone’s face when our enthusiastic students of Class I Olive and I Chinar conducted the special assembly on the occasion of Diwali. The stage was beautifully decorated to mark the festival of lights. The assembly began with soulful and powerful sholaks. The importance of Diwali was depicted through an enactment presented beautifully by the children. The little Lotusians dressed in bright and colourful costumes presented a beautiful poem. Their enthralling dance movements made the atmosphere vibrant and colourful as they danced to the tunes of handpicked songs with great zeal and gusto. Tastefully decorated ambience added charm and religious fervour to the atmosphere as the children dressed up as different characters from the Ramayana enchanted all. The Principal, Mrs. Ruchi Seth wished everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali and advised the children to drive away the internal darkness by lightening a small 'diya' in their hearts. The Incharge, Mrs. Mona Kalra appreciated the efforts put in by the participants and the teachers for such an impressive show. She urged the children to say no to crackers and celebrate the ‘joy of giving’ by sharing sweets and gifts with children who are not as fortunate as they are as ‘sharing and spreading happiness’ is the essence of the festival.
