SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON REPUBLIC DAY

DATE: 22 January 2016

CLASSES: CLASSES 3 INDUS AND BHRAMAPUTRA

VENUE: B’ BLOCK ASSEMBLY AREA

“We are ordinary citizens who have been blessed with extraordinary opportunities and experiences. This is what makes our journey extraordinary.”

January 22nd was one of those memorable days when the students of Class III Brahmaputra and Indus enthralled everyone with their spectacular performances.
Welcoming everyone after an extended winter break, the students of Brahmaputra and Indus conducted the first assembly of the year: A Special Assembly to celebrate Republic Day.

The assembly started with the offering of prayer followed by a glimpse of the happenings around the globe. To the delight of everyone, the students then enacted a symbolic Republic Day Parade celebration!
The symbolic Prime Minister arriving in a buggy followed by the Lighting of the Lamp in the memory of Martyrs by Ms. Parul Puri, marked the commencement of this Parade.
The students dressed up as soldiers of the Army, Navy and Air Force marched past, as the audience was left spell bound. This was followed by a scintillating dance performance by the Indian dance troupe. The icing on the cake was a pyramid formation by our young BSF commandos followed by drones flying past.

To quote Steve Jobs, everyone present there had the sense that it was one of those moments when we were influencing the future…. influencing the future of our country by shaping the future of these young minds.
