Interactive session with Sunita Williams

On 26th February, 2016  four students of  class VI along with Mrs Pritha Sen of Astronomy Club attended an interactive session with  Captain Sunita Williams, US astronaut of Indian origin at India Islamic Culture Centre, Lodhi Road. The session was moderated by CMD-SPACE, Mr. Sachin Bahmba. At the beginning of the session, Captain Sunita narrated interesting anecdotes about her life that occurred during her journey to become an astronaut. During the interaction, she spoke about her disciplined life and passion to fulfill her dream to be a part of the Space World. She also shared her experiences of being in a spacecraft for a long time and about her spacewalks. Captain Williams concluded her discussion with her latest work related to Mission Mars. She emphasized on the power of imagination and asked the students to be ever receptive to new ideas. It was an enlightening experience and Captain Sunita answered the questions of inquisitive students patiently.
