A one-day workshop for teachers organized by Cambridge English on 29th Sep’16 was attended by Ms. Sakshi Shukla, (TGT English). This workshop targeted teachers, involved in training students for the Cambridge English: KET & PET Examination for middle school. The workshop was divided into four parts. Each part focused on each one of the four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Ms. Monisha Gupta was the resource person for the workshop. The workshop commenced with an introduction to the concept ofCEFR (Common European Framework For Reference). Under her guidance, teachers from several schools explored the teacher support material available for the Cambridge KET & PET English Examination. The support material consisted of question papers for both KET & PET and handouts for Speaking and Listening activities. The workshop proved to be a great insight intounderstanding the examination conducted by Cambridge English.
The workshop also offered a platform to interact with experts and peers to share ideas on how to make the language learning more interesting and meaningful using technology. The experts also shared various URLs’ with the teachers which would streamline the efforts of locating teacher-learner resources at the click of a button.
