Assembly on Guru Nanak Jayanti
DAY AND DATE: Tuesday, 15th November, 2016
VENUE: C- Block, Badminton Court
The morning dawned, bright and clear, as we gathered again, post the frenzy of the Annual Day, to the mellifluous sounds of the Gurbani and the “Ek Omkar” song. The students of classes VII Calypso and Miranda presented the special assembly to commemorate Guru Nanak Jayanti. Once the Vice Principal ma’am lit the lamp, the students went on to showcase the uplifting spirituality that Sikhism is identified with through a talk and skit on the significance of Guru Nanak Jayanti. This was followed by a Prabhaat Pheri, a talk on Guru Granth Sahib the holy book of Sikhs, and pious ardaas. The assembly closed with the distribution of the kada prasad, graciously made by the parents of the students.
