Holi and Year End Assembly

‘Holi’, the festival of colours, ushering in the glorious spring season is symbolic of fun and gaiety. The children of class I Hazel and Lavender presented the special assembly on the occasion of Holi with great zeal and fanfare on 9th March, 2017. The atmosphere was charged up with the beautifully decorated stage and vibrant costumes. The different hues of the festival were highlighted through the children’s performances. ‘Holi’not only means fun and frolic but also conveys the powerful message of the victory of good over evil. Through their poetic verses, the importance of playing a safe Holi was highlighted. The audience was enthused by the eloquence of our young performers. Our enthusiastic dancers enthralled the audience with their dance moves on the melodious songs sung by the choir .The rhythm and synchronization amongst the students was exemplary.

This was followed by students of Class II taking the centre stage for the ‘Year End Assembly’. There were breathtaking performances by the little boys and girls across all the sections of class II. The assembly area resonated with the thunderous applause in their appreciation for the spell binding display of talent.

Finally, the In charge of Classes I and II, Ms. Mona Kalra appreciated the efforts put in by all the teachers, children as well as their parents. As the session is coming to an end, she reminded the children to thank all the people who have been instrumental in making this journey beautiful. She thanked the nannies, the support staff for their co- operation and support given to young children. Students from classes I and II presented the nannies with a small token of love. Then she called upon the teaching fraternity –all teachers on stage and thanked them for their unstinting support in making the academics as well the co-curricular calendar a resounding success. She presented each teacher with a token of love to make them feel appreciated.

Last but not the least; the students were felicitated with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for their praiseworthy feat in the Olympiads - NSO, IOEL and IIO.

All in all, a memorable assembly, which the students and teachers will remember in the days to come.
