Special Assembly- Janamashtami and Independence Day Classes I and II

With invocation of the Gayatri mantra, the special assembly began in the sweet melodious voice of young lotusians as the children of classes I and II gathered together to celebrate Janamashtami and Independence Day on 9th August, 2017.

The Special Assembly conducted by the students of Class II Kamet and Godwin Austin highlighted the importance of celebrating these festivals and promoted the feeling of love, peace and brotherhood. The assembly commenced with a prayer and thought. The audience could not resist tapping their feet and swaying to a melodious rendition of the song ‘Radha ek gori….’ Colourful depiction of the dance ‘Krishna Leela’ by the students left the audience spellbound.

The icing on the cake was the patriotic dance on the song ‘Aao Bachcho Tumhe Dikhaye ….’ which highlighted the freedom struggle and made everyone swell with pride on learning about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The choir sang in unison to the tune of ‘Vande Mataram’ adding patriotic fervour in the ambience.

The Principal, Dr. Ruchi Seth graced the occasion and applauded the hard work and efforts of our budding artists and teachers. The assembly concluded with the motivational words of Mrs. Mona Kalra, In-charge Classes I and II.

The assembly left the audience and the participants with a smile on their face and heart full of love. Overall, the young performers left an impact on everybody with their brilliant performance.
