An educationist, a facilitator, and a forward-thinking leader, Ms Jyoti Vats (M.A. B.Ed.), has devoted 32 years of service to education. A member of the founding team, she has contributed significantly to the ethos of Lotus Valley International School, Noida.
Whether as HOD English and subsequently as the Academic Coordinator, Ms Vats has left an indelible mark on the history and legacy of the school. It is through her committed efforts that the senior wing has churned out commendable CBSE results each successive year.
Ms Vats has been the Academic Coordinator of LVIS for the last 5 years, and under her leadership the senior wing has grown from strength to strength. She attended a Summer Programme at the Brown University, USA in 2013 centred on the ‘Pedagogy in Teaching’ which has allowed her to develop a global perspective on education.
Her expertise in oration, debating, theatre, and poetry are second to none. Synergy and cooperation are the pillars of her leadership style. Jovial and approachable, Ms Vats has a strong connect with students and has mentored not only several batches of Lotusians but also staff members, thus fortifying the school body.
Ms Shilpika Dass, a post graduate in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, and a veteran Resource Person having conducted more than 3000 workshops and training programmes for teachers across India and the Middle East, is Vice Principal (Co-Curricular, Pedagogy and Trainings) at Lotus Valley International School, Noida. Apart from a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, she also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management. Over a career spanning 24 years, she has donned multiple hats – teacher, editor, content developer, facilitator, Incharge – and is currently tasked with Co-Curricular Event Planning, Teacher Trainings, Pedagogical Initiatives, Social Media, Innovative Projects and International Programmes at LVISN. Ms Dass has also been prolifically published in Education Times and Indian Express, and appeared frequently in educational programmes on NDTV India. An avid writer, her articles encompass themes such as emergent pedagogy, the ethos of value-based education as well as assessment for, of and as learning. At LVISN, Ms Dass has, under the guidance and mentorship of the Principal, Dr Ruchi Seth, conceptualized and helped execute the Student Conclave, Voices, as well as initiatives like the Online Learning Communities, Life Management System, as well as the Teacher Mentorship Programme. Ms Shilpika Dass is also part of CBSE Curriculum Design Committee and an Innovation Ambassador for the Ministry of Education.
A dynamic professional and an educational catalyst with over 19 years of experience, Ms Deepti Singh (M. Phil, MBA, M.Sc., PGDDR, B.Ed.) , has provided
leadership and support to her colleagues over the years. Her steady approach and reflective nature
make her approachable to all.
As a seasoned professional with cross-functional expertise in planning and organising, Ms Singh has
authored a Manual on ‘Mental Health for the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD)’ in
collaboration with CBSE. She is a Gold Medallist from Osmania University and a Certified Clinical
Psychologist from RCI. She has been invited as a speaker for numerous TV shows, such as Exam Fever,
and radio talk shows. Ms Singh is also associated in various capacities with CBSE, NCERT, and MHRD.
As an expert in conducting orientations, mentoring programmes, life skill training and mental health
workshops, she has carved a niche for herself.
Ms Singh has a remarkable connect with students across all age groups. As the Head of the
Counselling Department at LVIS for the last 5 years, she has facilitated the organisation of several
workshops, interactive sessions, mental health programmes, and webinars in the school. Her core area
of expertise is academic mentoring, addressing the psycho-social needs of the students, and career
counselling. She has been instrumental in the formulation of school policies pertaining to POCSO,
anti-bullying policy and cyber safety. The counselling team, under the Principal’s able guidance,
has been instrumental in designing programmes such as happiness curriculum, career guidance plan,
guest speaker programme, and Peer Educator.
