Ms. Sukriti Roy – Academic Coordinator IX to XII
Ms Sukriti Roy (M.A, B.Ed) graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in English Literature and started her career in Media as a Reporter and Editor. With her true passion calling, she decided to pursue a Bachelors in Education from her alma mater and began teaching English Literature to Senior Secondary Students. Her journey with the LVIS family started in 2016 where she has contributed as the Chief Editor for 5 years and served as the Head of the Department of Languages for 4 years before being appointed as the Academic Coordinator. An advocate for those at the fringes, she teaches elementary subjects to underprivileged children in her locality.
With a firm belief that educators should be life-long learners, she has also recently completed her certification in Psychoanalysis and Counselling in the hope of helping students wade through setbacks and cultivate resilience. Her love for languages lead her down the scenic route of completing 3 diplomas (B1) in the French Language from Allions Francais. Her proclivity to learn inspired her to pursue a course in ‘Developing Strategies for Online Teaching and Learning’ from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2020.
‘Eclectic’ is how she would describe herself with an ardent love for travelling, dance, theatre, painting and cooking. A trained Bharatanatyam and Ballroom dancer, she has been a Smooth and Latin dance trainer for over a decade. With the hope that each child finds her/ his rightful place under the sun, her endeavour is to contribute towards a companionate generation of enlightened, kind and conscientious global citizens with culture as their anchor.
Ms. Neerja Rishi Incharge – Classes VI to VIII
Ms. Neerja Rishi, a post graduate in History from Rohilkhand University, has an experience of approximately 20 years in teaching students in the age group of 8-15 years. She joined Lotus Valley International School, Noida on April 1, 2007. She was appointed Incharge classes V-VI on December 1, 2016 and looks forward to infuse new energy and drive innovation in her department. She has been coordinating various events in the school and was being instrumental in bringing positive changes in the progress of the school.
She inspires her students to be keen learners, global thinkers and most importantly compassionate and sensitized human beings. She strongly believes that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.
A positive person with a lot of determination, she strongly believes that hard work always pays. She loves her profession as it connects her to so many young and diverse minds who inspire her to give her best every day. She explores life through the eyes of her students who have greatly helped in making her the person she is.
Ms. Charu Sehgal – Incharge – Classes III to V
Ms Charu Sehgal, a Post Graduate in Commerce from Delhi University and a distinction holder in Early Childhood Care and Education, has taught at the Bombay University and reputed schools across Delhi for close to 21+ years. As the Grade Rep for nine years, she has made several contributions to mentor, build teams, hone leadership acumen and provide a supportive work environment through highly effective team processes.
Having been appointed the In Charge for grades III and IV on April 1st, 2018, she set out to ensure that every teacher and every student is supported and encouraged to be nothing but the best. A staunch believer that education has the power to liberate, it is her endeavour to make learning interesting and creative, by promoting the Multiple Intelligence Strategy, incorporating novel pedagogies and encouraging self-assessment for personal growth.
Her time in school has developed her philosophy of valuing each child as a unique individual. An optimist and perfectionist rolled into one, she is led by a dream in her heart. A dream that she doesn’t want the children to follow in her footsteps.......She wants them to take the path of their own making and go farther than she ever dreamt possible.
Ms. Mona Kalra Incharge – Classes I – II
Ms. Mona Kalra (M.Sc. Home Science, B.Sc.-Gold Medalist, UGC NET Qualified), joined the school in the year 2004. She has been a stalwart in its growth from strength to strength. Her journey in this noble profession spans nearly two decades and she has won the venerable reputation for creating a 'home away from home' for children at school. As a founder teacher, the school, for her, is like her baby that she has nurtured with love, wisdom and dedication.
She was appointed as the In-charge, Classes I and II in the year, 2014. A dynamic leader, with a heart of gold, she guides her team with clear vision and compassion. She strives for perfection and leaves no stone unturned to bring out the best in both the teachers and students under her care. Her cheerful demeanor and warm nature endears her to one and all.
An innovative educator, she has unique and novel ideas to make learning effective and enjoyable for young children. She has mentored her team successfully by conducting numerous workshops related to different aspects of education and child development. She leads by example and inspires her team, thereby facilitating a constructive learning environment.
Her insights on 'Multiple Intelligences' and how to make learning fruitful for all types of students have left an indelible mark, motivating each team member to go that extra mile. The pragmatic inputs shared on 'Happy Classrooms', have proven to be infallible mantras for teachers to nurture 'happy learners'. Always a teacher at heart and a pioneer in restructuring and reinventing educational practices, she has researched the different pedagogical tools that can be used in the field of primary education and developed strategies to implement them effectually. Her workshop on 'Storytelling as a Pedagogy' deserves a special mention, where she displayed her prowess over this engaging pedagogical technique.
The illustrious 'Discovering India' project is another feather in her cap. Harnessing her enthusiasm to take learning beyond the text book, she devised this distinctive program in which the young learners learn about different states of India, through hands on activities, stories and presentations.
Blessed with immense patience and a keen sense of responsibility, she is committed to upholding the ideals of the school and is working towards building a better tomorrow for our children.
Ms. Ekta Sachdev Incharge – Pre-Primary
Ms. Ekta Sachdev (M.A, B.Ed.) graduated from Agra College, Agra with a distinction in English Language and has been associated with LVIS family for close to two decades. A passionate and committed educator, she was conferred with the “Teachers’ Excellence Award” for her meritorious services and dedication to the cause of education in 2008 by then chief minister of Delhi, late Smt. Sheila Dikshit. She worked in the capacity of a coordinator for grade I for thirteen years where she mentored the team of teachers, planned innovative strategies to strengthen the pedagogy and fostered students’ creativity in the classroom.
She was appointed Incharge of Pre- Primary department in September, 2022. She stands out as a beacon of excellence in the field of early childhood education. With over 23 years of experience, she has transformed the pre-primary section of our school into a nurturing and dynamic environment where young minds flourish. She was recently awarded with gold category in the Economic Times Educational Excellence Award for ‘Outstanding Edutainment Program’ in Pre-school level. Her vision for pre-primary education is rooted in the belief that every child is unique and deserves an education tailored to their individual needs. Under her leadership, the curriculum has been enriched with innovative teaching methods that emphasize play-based learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
A pleasant and approachable person, Ms. Sachdev is well liked by children and team members alike. Having supported several co-curricular programmes, she believes in providing a holistic and conducive learning environment to the young learners. With her childlike curiosity, she remains a lifelong learner, forever exploring and discovering the world around her.
As her name denotes, she believes in teamwork and collaboration. She organizes activities and interactive sessions for parents, helping them understand and support their children's learning journey. Her efforts have led to increased parental involvement, creating a strong support system for students.
