LVISN arranged a three day educational trip to Ranthambore for its students of grade XII to celebrate 50 years of Project Tiger. The thrill of getting a chance to see the majestic tiger in its natural habitat was evident on their faces as a total of 156 students along with 12 teachers left for Ranthambore on 3 April 2023.
The trip was nothing less than spectacular. The tiger reserve lived up to its expectations when our students witnessed a terrifying and majestic tiger hunt for his scrumptious sambar deer. Another group spotted Ridhi, a young tigress resting in the tall grass. As the forest reverberated with the long drawn rutting calls of the stags, they also spotted both the Chital and the sambar deers along with sloth bears, peacocks and a varied species of birds.
The students got to be a part of the regality of the formidable Ranthambore Fort which was worth the effort of climbing a flight of 200 steps. They also bought souvenirs for their family and friends from an NGO named ‘Dastkar’ to support and promote the dying Rajasthani craftsmanship.
Certainly the learning, memories and stories from this trip will stay with them for years to come.
