Lotusians of grade VIII attended Model United Nations (MUN) conference at Bal Bharati Public School Noida. The two-day MUN conference gathered students from 12 schools from Delhi NCR. Our delegation was composed of thirty students from grades VIII, each selected for their keen interest in global affairs. Our students represented various countries and political parties, immersing themselves in the roles of diplomats to discuss topics such as disarmament, CAA, Uniform Civil Code, international security, and sustainable development. Throughout the conference, our students engaged in intense debates and collaborative efforts to draft resolutions. Their ability to articulate their positions clearly, negotiate effectively, and work cohesively with delegates from other schools was commendable. This experience not only broadened their understanding of international relations and national issues, but also honed their skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.
The highlight of the conference was the High Commendation award received by Akshat Jain of VIII Vrindavan and Special Mention to Kaustubh Mohan of VIII Mirabell and Vrinda Singh of VIII Shalimar. This award is given to the top-performing delegates and recognizes their exceptional contributions to the discussions and resolution processes. Our students’ ability to navigate complex issues and present well-founded solutions impressed the judges and fellow delegates alike.
Heartfelt thanks to Hriday Singh Anthal and Aryan Arora, their senior mentors from LVISN for training the juniors to perform better.
