The Middle Wing of LVISN organized a special assembly on the theme, ‘Unveiling the legacy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’ on July 09, 2024. The assembly, organised by Lotusians of class VII as a homage to the multifaceted genius of Rabindranath Tagore, included his profound thoughts and a showcase of the creative, musical and poetic brilliance of the great polymath.
The melodious rendition of Rabindra sangeet: Prano Boriyo Trisha Horiye, the graceful dance moves on the famous composition ‘Ekla Chalo Re’, the performance on one of the most famous Nobel Prize winning poem’ Where the Mind is Without fear‘ from the collection of his poems ‘Geetanjali’, enraptured the audience, as did enactment of the Hindi version of Tagore's famous short skit ‘Rats on The Train’. A quiz based on a short video on the life of Gurudev, brought proceedings to a close. Vice Principal, Ms Shilpika Dass, in her concluding remarks, advised students to imbibe the values of creativity, perseverance, patriotism and courage epitomised by Tagore, while In-charge, Ms Neerja Rishi, also appreciated the assembly wholeheartedly and encouraged the students with her words of wisdom.
