STEAM Fest at LVISN

The Primary Wing of LVISN recently hosted a vibrant STEAM IT fest for Grades III-V, spanning two days from July 18th to 19th. This dynamic event offered a creative and educational experience, centered around innovative projects that sparked imagination and learning. Grade V students embarked on an exciting journey, exploring "Strings and Springs: Creating a Puppet Tale with Simple Machines." Through this project, they delved into the basics of mechanics and applied their knowledge to craft and animate their own puppets, bringing stories to life. Grade IV students, meanwhile, dove into the theme "Marvels in Motion: Crafting Wonder Machines." This project encouraged them to investigate the principles of motion and engineering, designing and building their own inventive machines that showcased their creativity. The youngest participants, Grade III students, had a blast with "Junkyard Joys: Creating Wonder Toys from Waste." They learned about the importance of recycling and creativity by transforming everyday waste materials into imaginative and functional toys. In addition to the student projects, a Parent Talk was organized for Grades IV and V, focusing on STEAM IT and AI. Guest speaker, Mr. Amit Kumar Bhatnagar, Senior Principal Cloud Database Administrator at Oracle, shared his expertise on STEAM IT, simple machines, and Artificial Intelligence. He led in-depth discussions on AI, its applications in daily life, and career options. The students actively participated, sharing examples of AI they've encountered daily, making the session engaging and interactive.
