In a display of national pride and unity, Lotus Valley International School, Noida, celebrated the 78th Independence Day alongside the prestigious Senior Scholar Badge ceremony with remarkable enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The day was filled with both solemn and joyous events, including a flag hoisting ceremony and the lighting of the lamp, culminating in the recognition of the academic excellence of 324 outstanding students from grades 9 to 12 who were conferred with Scholar Badges.
The celebrations were graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Brigadier Ashim Kalra of the Indian Army, Ms Jaspreet Kaur from the school management, our beloved Director Principal Dr Ruchi Seth, as well as students, teachers, and families from the Lotus Valley community. The festivities commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, accompanied by a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem. The flag fluttered proudly, embodying the spirit of freedom and unity that this day represents.
Our honourable Chief Guest, Brig. Ashim Kalra, delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on our country's journey to independence and emphasising the values of self-discipline and resilience. He shared motivational stories of mountaineer Arunima Sinha, encouraging us all to draw inspiration from her adventurous spirit. The emotional atmosphere was further enhanced by a beautiful performance of "Saare Jahan Se Accha" by a group of students.
In addition to the Scholar Badges, the event also recognised the top scorers of the Grade 10 and Grade 12 board examinations, who were awarded cash prizes for their exceptional achievements. Furthermore, the dedication of our educators was acknowledged, with 30 teachers receiving gift cheques in appreciation of their unwavering commitment and contributions to the school.
The 78th Independence Day celebrations and Scholar Badge ceremony were a resounding success, balancing solemn reflection with jubilant recognition. This occasion not only honoured our nation's past but also looked forward to its future, celebrating the achievements of our young scholars while reinforcing the values of freedom and unity.
