MUN Winners from LVISN

Grade VIII students of Lotus Valley International School, NOIDA participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) conference held at Ryan International School, Greater NOIDA on 30 and 31 July, 2024. The students were actively involved in vigorous debates and discussions on global issues like the illicit trade of small arms, safety of journalists, the New Education Policy (NEP), and climate change with a focus on the carbon credit system. Our students represented various countries and political parties, immersing themselves in the roles of diplomats to discuss the various agendas. Throughout the conference, our students were engaged in lively deliberations and collaborated to draft resolutions. Sachi Kaul of class VIII bagged the trophy and certificate for the Special Mention award. Aarav Dodi and Kaustubh Mohan of class VIII received the Verbal Mention award and Ajitesh Kumar of class VIII received the Honourable mention. Our students learnt to collaborate with other delegates in various committees, analyzed complex issues and learnt diplomatic procedures. Their ability to clearly express their viewpoints, negotiate successfully, and work well with delegates from other schools was impressive.
