The focus of the session was play-based and activity-based learning for children in the foundational stage, as recommended by the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage. The Central Board of Secondary Education introduced an innovative teaching and learning resource kit called ‘Jaadui Pitara’ on February 20, 2023. This initiative aims to make learning more engaging and enjoyable for students, fostering creativity and innovation. Ms. Mona Kalra led an interactive session that illuminated the key points of NEP 2020 and explored the potential of 'Jaadui Pitara'. Educators shared their experiences with activity-based teaching methods and identified additional activities from ‘Jaadui Pitara’ that could be incorporated into their classrooms. The session emphasized the importance of understanding 'Jaadui Pitara' and enhancing play-based learning. It was also suggested that teachers create their own creative resource kits for educational exercises. Overall, the workshop was highly informative and inspired educators to design and implement ‘Jaadui Pitara’ activities for their students.
