LVISN celebrated the senior wing's Investiture Ceremony with great enthusiasm on 19 May 2023 in the school Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Major General Yogesh Chaudhary, VSM, HQ, Southern Command, Indian Army, school member of the Management, Mr Harkaran Uppal, Guest of Honour, Ms Annu Kapil, Vice Principals, Ms Jyoti Vats and Ms Dipti Singh, along with the proud parents and grandparents of the Student Council members.
In her opening speech, the Vice Principal, Ms Jyoti Vats, encouraged the students to carry out their duties with utmost sincerity and achieve their goals to make a positive impact on society. The cultural events accompanying the celebrations truly demonstrated the rich cultural heritage of India. The tone of the occasion was set with the mellifluous rendition by the school choir ‘Together We Can Change the World’, voicing the promise and determination of the newly appointed leaders. Thunderous applause reverberated though the auditorium as the Lotus troupe presented ‘Synergistic Interfusion’, a fusion of yoga, Rajasthani folk and zumba. The highlight of the event was the energetic Chhau dance of the Jharkhand region. Rigorous training, discipline and focus, the vital traits of leadership, were visible in the dancers as they mesmerized the audience with their intricate footwork and perfected pirouettes. Excitement was all pervasive in the school auditorium as 67 members of the Prefectorial Board, Editorial Board and members of the Learning Communities marched on to the stage to accept their badges and newfound responsibilities towards the school.
The Chief Guest, Major General Yogesh Chaudhary VSM, HQ, Southern Command congratulated the newly elected student body, calling them the trainee leaders of the future. He explained to students the tenets of good leadership as “a refined blend of passion and compassion.” He also urged the stakeholders to work in coordination to help make India a global leader or ‘vishwaguru’. The Head Boy, Vihaan Kapoor and the Head Girl, Maanavi Bansal delivered their speeches of determination and acceptance of duty. The ceremony culminated with the Vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal, Student Welfare, Ms Dipti Singh.
